Hitting the Pause Button
I got a couple of emails yesterday asking me if I was keeping my blog alive…
…I just got back from vacation in California for 10 days with my wife so that partly explains my MIA.
But I’ve also been thinking…2008 is almost up and I have specific income goals I want to reach before then. So I’ve decided to focus all my energy on activities that will HELP me increase my online income.
There’s a lot of stuff I do online that waste my time, LIKE CHECKING EMAIL.
And I like running this blog and I don’t expect to make much money from it and that’s fine with me…I started it to help people and to network with other affiliate marketers, which I have done…but the fact is, I spend a decent amount of time maintaining it.
I want to instead focus this time into building new campaigns, testing new ideas, etc. etc.
But I won’t let this blog die…I like sharing ideas too much…so after this year is over, I’ll come back with renewed energy and focus…and I hope to make the content even better.
I envision a blog that has a healthy readership with consistent 20+ comments per post. I realize my blog is severely lacking in that area and I need to fix that, which I will.
This all said, I will still add a post here and there when I have something helpful to say…so if you’re interested in joining me, subscribe with your email below…don’t use RSS…this way when I post random information, you’ll get an email.
I’d like to end this post with something that I think is important…
HOW MUCH OF YOUR TIME ONLINE IS SPENT ON ACTIVITIES THAT WILL HELP YOU REACH YOUR INCOME GOALS?
I wake up about 2 hours early every day to work on my campaigns…I realized yesterday that I spend 25% of this time checking emails…what a waste!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING ONLINE THAT IS PUSHING YOU FURTHER AWAY FROM MAKING THE MONEY YOU DESIRE?
Stop checking email so much…only read the blogs that really help you…and sign out of AIM…get to work…you have a little over 3 months left in 2008 to start off 2009 with a bang.
Talk to you soon,
Ryan
