This is my first blog post and I have to admit I’m pretty excited! I love affiliate marketing and I have a lot of fun with blogging — so welcome to my new blog where I write about my affiliate marketing adventures.

It took me a couple of weeks to get this blog up and running because, if you’re familiar with Wordpress, you know there’s a lot of customization you can do with the plugins and themes.

I settled on this ProSense theme because of it’s simplicity, SEO features and Adsense compatibility — that being said, however, I removed all but one of the Adsense blocks because the original theme had way too many in my opinion.

And I added some Commission Junction graphics (hey, I’m an Affiliate Marketer by nature, I can’t help it!).

For plugins, I installed everything from SEO tools to back up options to traffic stats and more.

Ok, I want to mention that my inspiration to actually start this blog came from Caroline Middlebrook’s blog. Good work Caroline!

I forget how I stumbled across her blog, but I fell in love with her content, and thought to myself “I should do something like this”. She writes about her adventures in making money online — she shares a lot and it’s really interesting content.

I know enough about Affiliate Marketing where I should never run out of things to write about — plus my wife will tell you I’m borderline obessed with it — and to be honest, I am. And this was true even when I wasn’t making money.

In the blog posts to come, I’m going to reveal as much as possible about what I’m doing without revealing my exact campaign details (I have to protect the income I’m earning, sorry!).
