This post will contain some of my rambling thoughts that have been on my mind the past couple of days.

I’m on the email lists of many super affiliates and Internet Marketers — people that I know are making an absolute killing online both with their own products and/or promoting other people’s products.

Sometimes I’ll subscribe to a list because I want the information that’s behind the locked doors — but I also put myself on the mailing list because I like to see what kind of email promotions I receive and, more importantly, learn from how they’re promoting the product(s).

In fact, I highly recommend this. After seeing a bunch of email marketing promotions, you start to learn their methods and strategies and it can be very insightful.

Email marketing is very lucrative for some super affiliates — and it’s something I’ve yet to grasp in my affiliate marketing efforts — so maybe reading these email promotions will one day pay off!

Ok, back to what I was saying — I’m starting to notice something.

There are sooooo many Internet Marketing products available — and new ones seem to come out weekly. Since I’m on all of these lists, I get all the new product launch email promotions and it’s mind-boggling!

As I get more and more experienced, I’m sort-of able to filter through what has potential, but I can imagine it’s must be very overwhelming for a newbie.

From what I’ve learned so far…

Successful product owners usually make their money with:

* Their Affiliate Army
* Joint Ventures
* Email Promotions
* PPC

Successful affiliate marketers usually make their money with:

* PPC
* Web 2.0
* Product Launches
* Email Promotions

(these two lists aren’t fully complete, and there are sub-divisions of each category, but this is a general outline)

I wish I was made of money because in a perfect world I would buy literally every single Internet Marketing/Affiliate Marketing product available now and in the future — because I truly enjoy reading this type of content.

But how much new stuff is there really? And if the information was so lucrative why would they be revealing it? Is it because the tactics are starting to lose their effectiveness?

But then again, I’m told you make the most money by having your own product because then you can recruit an army of affiliates that sell for you. So maybe it’s that the tactics are now tried, tested and true and they’re ready to reveal them to the world.

Side note: Me personally, I prefer affiliate marketing at this point in the game because I don’t have to tackle the questions, returns, etc. It’s so hands-off being an Affiliate Marketer and that’s one of the things I love about it.

I think the majority (not all) of Internet Marketing products available right now have some serious overlap — and the big differentiation from product to product is the Internet Marketer’s unique twist or angle to the money-making methods discussed.

This could still be very well worth the purchase, but be careful when spending your hard-earned money on the latest and greatest product with it’s fancy sales page.

If your research shows that it really is worth the money, then go for it — because continually educating yourself is important — and I know I’ve personally purchased info products that I studied, applied and made money as a result of what I was taught.

If you’re currently strapped for cash, you might be able to learn the same information (or at least a watered-down version) by simply participating in Internet Marketing forums like eWealth, Digital Point and The Warrior Forum.
